Description
Miele Biologico Siciliano di castagno.
Il castagno: si coltiva in zone di media ed alta montagna. Il fiore è un lungo grappolo giallastro.
Fioritura: da giugno a luglio.
Colore: da ambrato a quasi nero.
Stato fisico: cristallizzazione in genere assente o a grossi cristalli.
Odore: forte e penetrante.
Aroma: simile all'odore, pungente all'inizio, poi più o meno fortemente amaro.

Description
Si definiscono millefiori i mieli che derivano da una unione naturale di piante. Non esiste quindi un’unica categoria di miele millefiori, ma tante quante sono le possibili combinazioni di piante. In questo miele, prodotto nell’area del Parco Nazionale dell’Alta Murgia prevalgono nettari di rovo e trifogli, associati ad alcune piante aromatiche; l’insieme che ne scaturisce è un miele estremamente chiaro e delicato. A livello gustativo si caratterizza per la leggera nota tostata dovuta al nettare di trifoglio e la bassa umidità gli conferisce una particolare viscosità. La presenza di piante aromatiche si percepisce appena, sotto forma di una nota leggermente floreale e speziata.
